Brewed in Bhutan

Brewed from ice. Poured for joy.

A crisp Lager and a full-bodied Strong, made for long evenings and the people you spend them with.

Why we brew

A hand opening a cold Brew Joy Lager bottle with a bottle opener

We brew for the moment the cap comes off. Soft water, malt with real body and the patience to let it finish smooth. Cold enough to stop a conversation. Smooth enough to start a new one.

The source

  1. 01 / 03

    It starts as ice.

Our distribution network covers 20 states and union territories across India and 14 countries, from Nepal and Sri Lanka to Dubai, Singapore and the UK. For stockists near you, contact info@brewjoybeer.com.

  2. 02 / 03

    Then malt and hops.

Malt brings the body, hops bring the balance. One recipe leans light, the other leans bold.

  3. 03 / 03

    Then time.

No shortcuts. Every batch rests until it's ready, so each pour comes out bright and smooth.

Protect the source.

A beer is only as good as the water it starts with. Looking after that water, and every place our beer travels, isn't a side project. It's how we plan to stay in business.

  1. A clear glacier stream running over smooth stones in a Bhutanese pine forest

    Water

Meltwater is our most precious ingredient. We aim to use less of it for every litre we brew and leave the source as we found it.

  2. Empty Brew Joy bottles and cans in a wooden recycling crate

    Packaging

Glass bottles and aluminium cans can be recycled again and again. We design our packs to be easy to recycle and work with partners to get more of them back.

  3. A golden barley field with hop vines in the Himalayan foothills

    Sourcing

Selected malt and hops from suppliers who share our standards. We want to know where every ingredient comes from and how it was grown.

  4. Bhutanese villagers clearing a stone water channel beside their fields

    Communities

The valleys that feed our water are home to people too. We aim to support the communities who look after these streams every day.

Responsibility comes with every bottle.

We sell to adults only, keep our marketing honest and will always back the simple rule: if you've had a beer, someone else drives.

Sustainability / Water

Where every bottle begins.

Every Brew Joy starts as snow on a Himalayan peak. It settles, turns to ice and, season by season, melts into the streams that feed our brewing. That long journey is why the water is so soft, and why we treat it as borrowed, not owned.

Brewing uses far more water than ends up in the bottle: for cleaning tanks, cooling and rinsing. That is where our work starts. We are measuring what each litre of beer really costs in water, and looking for every place we can recover it, reuse it or simply stop wasting it.

Downstream, the same water serves farms and villages. Taking less of it is the most direct way we can say thank you.

What we're working on

  • Tracking the water used for every litre we brew
  • Reusing rinse and cooling water wherever it is safe
  • Protecting the catchments our water comes from

Sustainability / Packaging

Built to come back.

Glass and aluminium are two of the few materials that can be recycled again and again without losing quality. A can you finish today can be back on a shelf as a new can within weeks.

But a pack only comes back if it gets collected. We design our labels and packs to be easy to sort, and we want to work with retailers, bars and recyclers so more empties return instead of ending up in landfill or on a beach.

Your part is small: rinse it, follow your local sorting rules and drop it in the right bin. That habit closes the loop.

What we're working on

  • Lighter packs that recycle fully
  • Return programmes for empties with bars and hotels
  • Clear recycling guidance on every pack

Sustainability / Sourcing

Good malt, honest hops.

Malt gives a beer its body and colour; hops bring balance and aroma. Both begin as crops, and the way they are grown shows up in the glass.

We choose suppliers who share our standards, and we want to know where every ingredient comes from, how it was grown and who grew it.

Buying closer to home, wherever quality allows, means fresher ingredients, fewer transport miles and more value staying with growers in the region.

What we're working on

  • Traceable malt and hops
  • Long-term relationships with growers
  • Local sourcing wherever quality allows

Sustainability / Communities

The people of the valleys.

The streams behind our water run through villages long before they reach a brewery. The people there look after the channels, terraces and forests that keep it clean.

We want Brew Joy's growth to be good news for them too, through local hiring, fair partnerships and support for the work that protects their water.

Wherever Brew Joy is poured, we ask one thing in return: enjoy it like a grown-up. Adults only, and if you have had a drink, someone else drives.

What we're working on

  • Supporting watershed care projects
  • Hiring and partnering locally
  • Responsible drinking messages wherever we sell
